The A Party of Colors Book Set Giveaway by Mama Likes This offers one winner two board books: A Party of Colors in English and Una Fiesta de Colores in a bilingual Spanish/English edition. The giveaway pairs English and bilingual board books from Charlesbridge’s STEAMworks series. 🎨
The story follows Salem on a first visit to the car wash with Baba. Moving through the wash, from the prewash rinse to the dryer, Salem watches different colors meet and mix. Red and blue bubbles become purple, while yellow and blue foam become green.
Color mixing is presented through this familiar sequence of events. The book introduces primary and secondary colors alongside observation, sequencing and cause-and-effect concepts. Its car-wash setting connects those ideas with the changing bubbles, foam and stages of the wash.
Additional material includes information about sequencing and color mixing, plus STEAM activities that extend the subjects explored in the story. The STEAMworks series connects scientific and mathematical thinking with everyday experiences.
The supplied book information credits authors Aya Khalil and Bayan Lahham, with illustrations by Olivia Aserr. The prize contains both the English board book and the bilingual Spanish/English board book, presenting the same color-focused story in the two editions.
