The winning Hero must be a current/former U.S. Armed Forces member or eligible current/former first responder; dog ownership is not required. Submit a truthful story of up to 500 words. One self-submission plus nominations of multiple different Heroes allowed, at most one nomination per Hero per entrant. Each Hero is evaluated once; extra nominations, referrals, social actions and marketing opt-ins do not improve selection.
