The Australian Booksellers Association is celebrating the joy of reading and community with the Love Your Bookshop Competition. This initiative is designed to honor Love Your Bookshop Day on Saturday, 10 October 2026, by encouraging readers to support their local independent bookstores and discover the works of talented Australian authors.
One lucky participant will have the chance to win a $1K Bookshop Gift Card, providing a significant boost to any home library. This generous prize allows the winner to indulge in a wide selection of titles, from gripping thrillers and sweeping romances to insightful non-fiction and children’s classics. 📚
The gift card is redeemable at any participating ABA member bookshop that accepts the Love Your Bookshop Gift Cards. By focusing on the importance of local commerce, the competition highlights the unique experience of browsing physical shelves and receiving personalized recommendations from passionate booksellers. Whether seeking a new favorite author or a timeless classic, this prize offers the perfect opportunity to explore the diverse literary landscape of Australia while supporting the small businesses that keep the love of reading alive in every neighborhood.
